About the category

This category includes all vertical greenery projects, both interior and exterior. Eligible installations include climbers directly on façades or trellises, modular systems, or creative technical combinations of various technologies. Submissions are not limited to new projects; completed projects from the past five years are encouraged.

 

  • Allowed are vertical greening projects using climbers, modular systems, or combined solutions.
  • Indoor and outdoor are both welcome.
  • Projects must be completed to be eligible for nomination.

The projects can be nominated by:

  • Architects and landscape architects,
  • urban designers,
  • planners,
  • contractors,
  • building owners,
  • projects managers
  • community organizsations.

Judging criteria in general are:

  • the innovative character of the project,
  • installation story (e.g. in an inner-city areas with minimal vegetation), 
  • method complexity,
  • biodiversity,
  • maintenance planning,
  • community integration,
  • cost information,
  • comprehensive documentation (photos, cross-sections, construction details, videos).
