Jan Pastoors is an urban planner and works in the ‘Citywide Open Space Strategies’ department at the Office for Landscape Planning and Green Spaces in Hamburg. He deals with issues of climate protection and climate adaptation in an urban context. His responsibilities also include developing and implementing the green roof strategy and the green façade strategy for the city of Hamburg. Previously, he managed EU projects, worked in various planning offices and gained professional experience in other European countries.
