About the category

The Green Infrastructure Student Research Poster Award invites Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral students worldwide to present their research-based work in the field of green infrastructure.

Submissions may include original research, applied case studies, or research-informed conceptual frameworks related to green infrastructure.

Posters should clearly communicate the research question, approach, and key findings, and demonstrate a sound understanding and application of green infrastructure principles through effective visual presentation.

The topics for this category may include, but are not limited to:

  • Urban greening and green infrastructure planning
  • Green roofs and walls
  • Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS)
  • Green transport and mobility infrastructure
  • Green spaces, Parks, and Urban forests
  • Ecosystem services and biodiversity
  • Climate change adaptation and resilience.

For the Green Infrastructure Student Research Poster Award, submissions are made directly by students, reflecting the educational and early-career focus of this category. The submission must be made by the student who is the primary author of the poster. The award is open to master’s and doctoral students worldwide, as well as recent graduates within the last 12 months.

Any author or co-author of a research study may nominate it.  A third party who does not contribute to the work may also be a nominator, but in this case, the nominator must notify the main author of the work if possible.

In cases where the poster is based on a multi-authored or previously published study, the student’s leading contribution must be clearly demonstrated.

Posters will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific and technical quality
  • Originality and innovation
  • Relevance to green infrastructure
  • Impact potential and societal Relevance
  • Clarity of content and effectiveness of visual communication
  • Overall coherence and quality
